He nodded slowly, still a little wary. But he nodded and glanced over to where he remembered the place being. "Alright... meanwhile, you guys should head back and tell your Alpha the news. I bet he'll want to know about the pups' deaths." He got to his paws, flicking his tail as he turned to start off.

Juliet nodded once.
Mystic got to her paws and nuzzled against Starblood and Dandre. She picked up Starblood by his scruff and began to carry him back, leaving Dandre for Romeo to take. Magic licked Soot's maw and got to his feet as well.
"Were Song and Malikite upset? Or do they know?" Magic asked his mate.

Romeo paused, wishing he could've beenleft with Star. He sighed, and very very carefully picked up little Dandre, fighting memories of ripping the poor pup apart. He was so glad his son wasn't alive at the time and could never know the dark secret his father had once wished upon him.
Soot shook her head. "I didn't tell them." She blinked up at him. "Was I supposed to?"

Mystic kept a slow pace so she could walk beside her mate. She lightly brushed her pelt against his, showing him that he shouldn't think about such things. Romeo had been crazy with worry when he'd done that. Dandre hadn't been alive, either. So there wasn't any harm done.
Magic nodded once to show he understood. "No. You didn't have to. I was just wondering." He sighed a bit. "This isn't the best news we've ever had to deliver, is it?"

Soot shook her head. "No. But it's alright. There will be more pups." She comforted, pushing her muzzle against his neck to lift his chin a bit, cheer him up. She'd seen her share of killed pups, but none of which she'd reveal to Magic. He didn't have to know all that.

"It's still painful." Magic said, almost a little shocked she'd say something like that. "Not many of us here are used to things like that. None of us, in fact."
Starblood looked around the forest as his mother and father carried himself and his brother back to the den. There was some connection he and his brother were missing. Starblood looked like that mean red wolf. Dandre looked like the weird green one that had fought for them. What were they missing here?
