"That's fine..." Mystic replied quietly. "Can I at least introduce you to them?" She looked at her pups again, tail thumping lightly against the den floor. Myst would be fine with the pups on her own for a bit. The she-wolf just hoped that he would be ready when they were old enough to understand and play.
Juliet chuckled lightly and pawed at her grandfather. "I'm sure you told Mother that exact same thing."

He sighed and nodded. "Of course." He stood, shaking out his fur. He would have to keep his instinct down. He couldn't help but be reminded of his old jobs in his old pack. And he couldn't very well explain this to Mystic. That would involve telling her about everything bad he'd ever done, and he'd prefer to keep her naive to that.

Mystic proceded to introduce him to his pups. The she-wolf would certainly have her paws full should each of these pups survive. ((HINT)) After telling Romeo the names she'd given each she set her head down on her paws. For the moment she was comfortable. Not really extremely happy due to previous events, but comfortable. Her pups were healthy and wriggling around close to her warmth. Romeo was there.

((Hint? xDD And what should we do with this?))

((We have to get rid of SOME of the pups, somehow. >> << >> It shall create drama and will be a lot easier if there are three pups to keep track of instead of seven. Just follow my lead!))
"Shadow, my tail is not something that's meant to be chewed on." Mystic said, flicking her tail. Shadow didn't listen and jumped on her tail again. The pups were getting larger. Large enough to be out of their mother's den every now and then, at least. They were all lively, yet somehow Mystic managed to keep an eye on each and every one.
"Sunleaf, leave Dove alone. I don't think she appreciates having her ear chewed on." Mystic told her pups calmly. She flicked her tail again, sat up, and grabbed Shadow by his scruff. The mother plopped him down in between her front paws. "You're going to sit here with mommy until you learn that it's impolite to chew on people's tails." Somehow, Mystic was keeping an eye on and taking care of all seven. That took skill. Juliet was pitching in as well. She said it would 'training' for when she finally settled down and had a litter.
"Dove, why aren't you playing with your brothers and sisters?" Juliet asked, nudging the pup with her nose.
"I'm tired." she moaned. Ignoring their sister's woes, Lilyfrost and Rosedew pounced on her. Ah, to be young.

(Someone wants to say hi. Permission?) Romeo pranced over, an amused grin on his lips. "Still being troublesome, are we?" He teased, eyes dancing as he sat down. Life had been good for the time being. He had ben getting along a lot easier with Mystic at least. And he could acept the pups. It was nice.

((Permission granted!))
"Both of you, leave your sister be if she's tired." Mystic told the two identical pups. Sometimes their own mother got them mixed up! She grinned at Romeo, tail thumping against the ground lightly. Starblood was proceding to jump up and gnaw on his mother's ear. "Ah, I love child rearing, don't you?"
"How come Starblood gets to chew on your ear and I can't chew on your tail?" Shadow whined.
"Go chew on your father's tail then." Mystic purred.

Romeo laughed, instantly standing to avoid his pups, but abruptly froze. He sniffed the air, completely still before looking back at Mystic with a dark from. "My old Alpha is coming." He muttered meaningfully, trying to be quiet enough for just Mystic to hear. "Get them hidden." He turned towards the smell, forcing himself calm.

((Hm...I think Starblood should be spared. Starblood and Dandre.))
Mystic sat up, ears raised in alarm. But she kept as calm as her mate. She told her pups to get inside the den and to be very, very quiet. Myst herded them inside towards the back. She lay down so that she could see out the den, but no one could see the pups behind her. Unless they decided to peak over her.
"Be very silent." Mystic whispered to them firmly. They'd never heard her use that tone, so they all pressed against the den floor and stayed silent.

Now that Mystic was safe in the den, Romeo felt a new fear. What if Bleaknight go past him? It was extremely possible, after all. He swallowed as the giant black shape slipped out of the brush with his two subordinates at his side. Hemitite's head was dipped, and he didn't look happy to be there. He glanced past romeo towards Mystic with an almost apologetic look. He didn't want a part of this at all. On his other side, however, Jasper was standing tall with a dark look on his face, and seeming to catch his brother's apologetic look, he snapped his jaws at the other's ear, ripping the skin. Hemitite shrunk back, whimpering softly, head ducked.
Bleaknight completely ignored Romeo, shoving past him and glancing at Mystic. "So a little bird told me a rumor and I had to come check it out..." He growled, eyes glowing. For once, he didn't look calm at all. That confident grin was gone, replaced by a much less promising glare.

"Get away from her!" Juliet snarled. She rushed forward, only to be stopped by Magic. He kept himself positioned so she couldn't run forwards. So Juliet settled for snarling at Hemitite. He obviously didn't want to be here...so why didn't he step up and do something? Protect his kin? He was certainly strong enough!
"Be silent, sister!" Magic hissed.
"Coward!" Juliet spat at both Hemitite and Jasper.
Mystic tried to press herself farther back into the den, but that wasn't going to work. There was nothing she could do, really. Expect back into her pups or try to drive Bleaknight OUT. Myst snarled warningly at Bleaknight and raked her claws over his muzzle. "Get OUT!"

Bleaknight had already drawn back. His gaze was on Juliet. A snarl ripped from his muzzle as he stepped up to her. "I really suggest you leave." He growled, long fangs exposed threateningly. He turned back to his second in command. "Jasper, get rid of those damned pups. Have your brother help." He grinned, cruel, at the startled look he was awarded from Hemitite. But he didn't let himself get distracted long, and turned back to the yearling siblings. "Don't try to interfere. We've got about twenty more wolves coming, and if you're in our way when they get here..." He shot Juliet in particular a meaningfully cruel look.
Jasper, meanwhile, aimed to shove himself into the den with Mystic, snarling to get her out of the way. He abruptly yelped, however, as Hemitite latched onto his hind leg and dragged him from the den. Mystic's father turned to her, eyes wide. "just save yourself and get out of here! You're not the target." He pleaded, ears back.

"Twenty..." Magic repeated. He leapt on to one of the dens, threw back his head, and howled in warning. Let his packmates hear him! Juliet began to back away, uncertainty if her eyes. What were they even DOING here?!
"Then...then who?" Mystic glanced back at her terrified pups. And then she knew. Instead of abandoning them like a sane wolf would do, she drew herself farther back into the den. "NO! NEVER!" Her pups were staring out now. Out at the chaos. Shadow came out from behind his mouth, who pulled him close. "WHY?!"

Bleaknight rolled his eyes. "Just get yourselves out of the way. We should technically be killing you too, and you mother, but we're actually being nice here. Be grateful." He snorted, merely annoyed by the two yearlings.
"It's my fault." Hemitite whimpered, actually apologetic. "I'm sor-" He fell forward as his brother ripped him to one side and shoved into the den again, snarling. "Just let them go and we won't have to kill you and the ones you already have." The older brother warned, narrowing his eyes at her. "You have permission to take two. Choose quickly, or they'll all die when the others get here."

Shadow, trying to be brave, began growling at Jasper. He leapt forward, only to be drawn back by his mother. All of the pups were squealing and panciking now. Mystic could hardly bare to listen. "WHY?!" She shoved Shadow behind her and pressed towards Jasper. "WHY DO YOU WANT TO SLAUGHTER YOU'RE OWN KIN, UNCLE? THEY'VE NEVER DONE YOU WRONG! NEVER DONE BLACKSHADOW WRONG!" She didn't understand. Didn't want to.
