Sunstorm sighed as six puppies tried to fight on her back without falling off. The other two preoccupied her maw, so she couldn't reach back and snap at them for being so obnoxious. But she was glad to get away anyway. She'd snuck away as soon as her new mate had looked away and her pups were old enough. Every one of her eight bundles of joy were completely unique in appearance and attitude... but they all shared the same excitement. They were going someplace new. And this would be a fun little adventure.
Sun paused at theedge of what smelled like newly established territory. She could recognize that scent anywhere. She grinned, setting her load down on the ground as she sat within her daughter's border, and howled. For the one that would always be here daughter.

It wasn't long before the soft pawsteps of the Alphess of this new pack could be heard as she raced to her border. She paused, staying in the shadows to look over the new arrival. When she recognized the wolf known to her only as her mother, Mystic let out a happy yelp and raced forwards. She nuzzled against her, tail wagging.
"Oh, wow." Mystic blinked at all the pups. "Well, at least I'm not the baby of the family anymore."

"Oh, you still are." Her mother teased, nuzzling her daughter playfully. "So, I don't suppose I could ask to stay for a while?" She requested softly, picking up one of the more aggressive male pups as he tried to chew on his sister's leg. "I need some help with these little ones and believe me, their father is far from helping." But she kept a grin, still amused at her strong capability of having a verbal fight with Donovan and winning with pure satisfaction. Especially since she now knew her daughter was safe. "Are the others alright? Magic, Juliet, the pups...?" she asked, abruptly worried. The trip here had been long, and it had been raining when they'd left... how many had died?

"Mother, you know you and my new siblings are welcome here." Mystic said, smiling at the pups. Starblood and Dandre would have some playmates. She looked at her mother, seeing how worried she was. "No one died, thankfully. Starblood and Dandre both caught a chill on our first night here, but they recovered quickly. Everyone is safe."

Sunstorm let out a sigh of relief, and nudged a few of the pups towards her daughter. "Can you help me carry them? They're quite a load." She chuckled, setting about four on her back and carrying two more in her jaws. After carrying them like this, however, one could see that it had hurt her back. She carefully padded forward, into the territory, not seeming to notice her own pain. "None have names yet. I was hoping you could help with that."

Mystic whimpered at her mother's pain and took a few of the little pups off her back and on to her own. She picked up two others in her jaws and began to lead her mother to their dens, where the rest of the pack was waiting. Eight pups! Their pack had just gotten a lot bigger.

((I was actually planning on killing off a few somehow. xD))
Sun nuzzled her daughter gratefully, and padded off after her, more relaxed now. To younger mothers, the strain would be hard. But she was experianced in this particular feild, and knew how to sacrifice just enough for her pups. A few problems with her back were nothing in the grand scheme of things.

((Yeah, I figured. XD Hm...the Rough Rapids can be a dangerous place for pups who aren't careful...))
Mystic and her mother would soon reach the dens. Quite a few of the dens were hollow places where the trees roots pulled up. The other dens had been dug into the earth. The pack had set up nicely. Juliet was sitting on a large flat stone, watching the rest of the pack. Starblood and Dandre were both wrestling, apparently very at home here now.
"Grandmother!" Juliet barked, her tail wagging.

((Mwaha. >:3 I'll come up with descriptions for them all, I guess. xD))
Sunstorm smiled up at her granddaughter, pacing up to her. "Hey, Juliet. Found any handsome males that have caught your eye yet?" She teased, setting down her pups beside Mystic's. The dominant male pup yipped and aimed to tackle Dandre and chew on his ear. He was a pretty dark gold color, with light silver across his shoulders. He was pretty beautiful actually.

Dandre let out a yip and quickly aimed to push the pup off of him, growling a bit. But his tail was wagging. For one, he had a playmate other than his brother! It was the first time since the rest of his siblings had been murdered did he have another playmate.
"No, not yet." Juliet chuckled as she came down from her perch. She nuzzled her grandmother. "Welcome!"
Mystic set the pups she'd been carrying, along with the ones on her back, down. "Starblood, Dandre, play nice."
Starblood looked at all eight pups, blinking. They were outnumbered!

The small, submissive female, obviously the runt, quickly ran over to Starblood, tail wagging. Obviously, she wanted to be on his side. Two more came over, making it an even five against five. The dominant male led his half over, playfully aiming to tackle Dandre again, yipping playfully.
Sunstorm smiled softly. "And how are the others? Doing well, I hope?" She watched the pups in amusement, tail wagging some. They were so cute.

Starblood wagged his tail at her and licked her head. It was obvious he would be the role model of the group. Dandre growled playfully at the dominant pup and allowed himself to be tackled. Dandre tugged on his ear, yipping.
"We're all fine. I think Magic took Song and a few others to explore...the prey runs well here, too." Mystic nodded to a cluster of rabbit carcasses, set out for anyone in the pack to have. "Take some. You must be hungry."

Sun nodded graciously at her, leaning down to eat. But after a moment, she glanced up again. "I can't stay long, Mystic. I have to get back. But I think I'll leave the pups here. They're safer here." She leaned back down, continuing to eat, comfortable. She didn't want her daughter worrying, so she'd try to stay calm so it wouldn't seem like that big of a deal.

"I wish you could." Mystic said. "Are things ok in Greenwood?" Greenwood had ceased to be home. Sometimes she felt a little sad, but she knew that they wouldn't ever be allowed back. Besides, they were happy here. The territory was fertile and large enough to support them. It was probably best that Sunstorm brought the little ones here at this age. They could grow up here and adapt. Starblood and Dandre could still remember Greenwood. On their first night they couldn't sleep, but they had also been sick.
"Names..." Mystic murmured. At least the pups were old enough so that they could have names that also fit their personalities.

She nodded. "As okay as they can be. I may have to take a few of them back." She frowned softly, looking her pups over. "Just in case. I'll have to come up with something to tell him, so he doesn't assume I came here and you guys killed them or some crazy idea like that." She still couldn't believe he'd be so stupid. And she couldn't believe Starfrost could choose someone so wrong. What was he thinking?
The big male abruptly ran over to Juliet, aiming to grab her tail and chew on it. He sure was a daring little boy. Behind him, a smaller brother, black with silver markings and his mother's golden eyes, propped himself against Juliet's leg, yipping happily.
