Hemitite sighed, annoyed, and sat down. He wasn't even the least bit tired. "I hate speaking human..." He looked up at her, growling a little when he forced out the words this time. "Difficult to explain. When you've lived as long as I have, you learn things." He explained, sticking out his tongue after making the disgusting noises. Icky.

"But...wolves don't live for very long. You can only live for twenty years, at most." Clara didn't seemed to notice his disgust at the human tongue. "And you aren't old." She was so confused. Wolves that could talk? Why had the other two attacked him? Or really, the female? Was it over food? Then there were questions every human wanted to know: did animals dream? Could they understand humans, even if they didn't speak the tongue?

He made a very annoyed grunt and continued. "I'm immortal. So are more than half the wolves in this forest. If you humans took this long to catch on to that, you're not half as intellegent as you make yourselves out to be." He leaned back to stratch at his ear, before shaking out his fur and giving a big yawn.

"Immortal..." Clara murmured. The idea blew her mind. Wasn't that one of the things humanity had always wanted? Always wished for? And it had been given to animals. She pushed herself away from the tree, ready to continue. Even if her feet were still killing her.
Ink got to his feet. "We're near the house, I think. I can never tell-everything here looks the same."

Hemitite wrinkled his nose. "Yeah, we are." He sneezed, trying to get the smell out of his nose before continuing onward. He'd have to get this damned human away soon. He couldn't stand her scent much longer - it was choking him. Reverting back to the human tongue, he commented. "Yes, immortal. You humans searched too long and hard for it. You have always been such a selfish species. One needs to be completely selfless in order to be granted immortality. And no human can ever acheive that."

Ink began to catch familiar scents, and through the trees he could see the house. He relaxed. "Home sweet home." He looked back at Clara. She was staring at Hemitite.
"That makes sense, I guess." Clara said slowly. "What about those other wolves? Why did they attack you? I'm guessing they just didn't want you eating their food, right?" Typical human. Even after the wolves showed her that they were just as intelligent as she, she still didn't believe they could have desputes over much larger matters.

"Stupid..." He muttered under his breath before replying, switching back and forth between languages with much difficulty. "No. That's not it at all. There's just a bit of a dispute between our packs is all. And she's in denial over something really quite simple, and it's rather irritating." He rolled his eyes, sitting back on the ground. "Now this is as far as I go. I'll patrol hee often, to make sure you don't get too lost. Other wolves will probably kill you both if they had the chance. You humans have hurt us too much in the past. We will not allow you to have your chance again if you push it."

"Thank you!" Clara scratched him behind the ears, like she often did with Ink. She took off running towards the house, much faster now that she was in a familiar area. Ink followed after her, smiling a little bit.

Hemitite... twitched. His eyes and lip flinched and after a moment, he rolled and shoved his head into the ground, whimpering, trying to rub off that disgusting human-ness off his ear. He couldn't believe she'd actually touched him! Ew!!
After a few moments of rolling in the grass, he rolled back to his paws and started back towards Greenwood land. He had a plan. He was going to do exactly what Ink had reccomended - find and have some bonding time with Mystic...

((XDDD Poor Hemmy!!!))
Mystic, meanwhile, had taken the deer back to the dens. She'd eaten little. Getting hit over the head with a foot-thick branch didn't leave you with much of an appetite. She'd wandered over to the stream, where Soot's old den was. Myst remembered taking her pups here and watching them bound around. Back when they were clumsy on their own paws and just beginning to explore the world.
"Tch. I already sound old." she muttered to herself.

"That says a lot about how old I am." Hemitite commented trivially as he stepped over from the stream, tail flicking in a very calm way. He wasn't looking forward to this at all. He knew she wanted him out, and never wanted to talk to him again, and anything he said would sound like some pathetic excuse to kidnap her, or some weird lie. But he could try. And if it didn't work out... well, it wasn't like he cared.

Mystic's fur began to bristle. She took a slow step back, her eyes locked on him. Pity. His own daughter didn't trust him at all. "I thought I told you to get off of Greenwood lands." Well, at least she wasn't attacking. Which she swore to herself she would do, next time he tresspassed. But Mystic never was one for violence. (Usually.) A trait she must have gotten from her mother.

He rolled his eyes, sitting on the sandy beach. "Calm down. I'm not here to redicule or anything. I'm here because that silly dog told me I should try and get closer to my daughter. And it sounded so rediculas, I just had to try it." He shrugged. "This time, if we don't get that wonderful bonding time your pack seems to treasure so, it won't be my fault. I'm giving you that option to at least try. Since I'm oddly willing to myself."

Myst didn't relax. But some part of her mind wanted to. It wanted to at least attempt to get to know the wolf that had fathered her. Whether she liked it or not, she was tied into his bloodline. "No offense...but you haven't really given me reason to trust you yet. How long have you known, anyways?" Mystic sat down. Well...that was a good sign, at least. But her eyes were still narrowed at him, untrusting.

He shrugged. "Before Soot left, I tortured some information out of her. She said Magic looked a hellova lot like me, I remembered your dear mother, and put two and two together." He shrugged, leaning down until he dropped against the beach, sprawling out there comfortably. Totally relaxed. Wow.
