That's what they might call her anyway. Sun had surrendered all her remaining pups to her exiled daughter's pack. To her, it would be a way of gettng back at Donovan for making her have the pups in the first place. And she would face him right off when she reached the camp. She was still the Alphess. And sadly, her and Donovan's war would probably go on for a while - until the latter died of old age. But neither could exile the other. A disadvantage on both sides that would extend the length of this battle for years to come.
Sunstorm paused when she reached the edge of the clearing. She hadn't bothered with rubbing off the "Blackwood" smell before coming back. Donovan could very well know where she'd been. He could do nohing about it.

Donovan was sitting on top of his den, head on his paws. The old Alpha would be freaking out at the moment, wondering where his mate and pups were ok. Not Donovan. The other wolves seemed to be going out their regular routines, though there were murmurs as Sunstorm entered the camp. Only when those murmurs grew louder did Donovan look up.

Oh yes, Sun was very aware how very little Donovan cared for her. She stepped past the other wolves on her way to him, pausing right below him. She glanced up, watching him a moment before shrugging and just proceeding into their sadly shared den.

Donovan jumped down and followed her into their den. "And where are the pups, Sun?" He moved closer to sniff her fur. The Alpha's ears went back in mock concern. "That new pack didn't hurt them, did they? That would mean war, you know." He smirked a bit.

"Oh, yes..." She turned on him, grinning cruelly. "They tore them to shreds. Isn't that what half-Greenwood's do?" She snorted. "No. They didn't hurt them. I just gave them to them."

"You just gave them to those wolves, then? Greenwood's future Alpha? It doesn't help that Avalanche's daughter betrayed us and went after them." Donovan snorted. He laid down in the den, glaring up at Sunstorm. They really were at a stand-off. Both were immortal, both were Alphas. Neither could banish the other.

Unless, of course, Sun went off and asked a little favor of Bleaknight... but then, still, they would be left without an Alpha. And that would be against Starfrost's will. She couldn't do it. Even if she wanted to. "That's right." She smirked down at him, tail wagging some. Just to push it, she dropped down and pushed herself against him, purring. Mwaha. "And that girls lucky. At least she can have pups away from this corrupt Hell-hole."

Donovan rolled his eyes a bit. "I didn't hear you making any objects a moon or two ago, Sunny." He nipped at her ear. Mwaha to her. Yawning, Donovan set his head on his paws. "Well, there will be more pups. We'll just have to make sure that border is guarded, won't we?"

A snarl arose from her throat, and she turned to nip his ear in return. Only her nip was a lot harder. But once she ensured the favor was returned, she calmed a bit, smirking back at him again. "You know they'll still let me past. I'm still Alphess." So ha.

Donovan snorted again. "But I'm still the Alpha." Also ha. Listening to these two talk was like watching a chess match. An entertaining one at that. "If I put Jag and a few others out there, you won't get past."

She stuck her tongue out at him. It was pretty odd, considering their verbal battle, but the fact that she was still curled against him. Because really, despite the fact they might hate each other, they were still mates. "I'll find a way. You can't keep a mother from her daughter, Donovan. No matter how hard you try."

"You managed to keep a father from all eight of his pups." Donovan retorted. He didn't bother moving away from Sunstorm. Why should he? They were still mates. Still Alphas. Still partially attached to each other. "Actually, you managed that twice."

She was about to open her mouth to a feirce return when he added the last bit. She paused, narrowing her eyes and dropping her ears. "...you have no idea." She sighed, shaking her head. "In a way... you are partially right to judge the Blackshadows. But you have never suffered their pain personally."

"You obviously don't remember what it was like to watch five pups, half-breeds as they may have been, brutally murdered. We've all been through pain caused by them." Donovan replied. He licked his paws nonchalantly, eyes bored. "You don't have to worry about it anymore at least. It seems Myst is very well acquainted with her dear old daddy."

"Just shut up, Donovan." She snorted, just tired of his stubborn attitude. She didn't want to fight. It had been a long trip back. All she wanted now was to curl up at Starfrost's side and have him lick her fur until she fell asleep. He had loved her, no matter what she'd done, no matter what happened... but he wasn't here any more. And now, the male beside her insisted that he was right in exiling the daughter who had served the pack since birth, no matter her heritage. This male would never lull her to sleep. Just wake her up from pleasant dreams into a horrid nightmare.
