(Sorry I took so long; couldn't think of how to reply. ^^ She gave a playful roll of her eyes, starting off, assuming he'd follow. "We're both hunting, Arrogance. Not something big, though. I hate storms. And it'll be hard to find anything anyway. Just go for whatever you find, alright? Small things, but enough to feed us." She paced a little faster, hoping to outrun the storm. "I'd already told Starfrost that I might be staying away from the main pack for a while, just for the fall and winter. It's sort of what we usually do anyway." And it would be nice, she'd admit, for her to have some company during that usually lonely time.

Ark gave out a chuckle at his new nickname, it actually suited him pretty well. He frowned a tad at her voice; her bubbly accent seemed to have melted away but he paid no heed.
He nodded his head in understanding. Nothing too big and nothing too small.. easy, right? He snapped back to reality and quickened his pace with his long strides to catch up with her. The wind picked up; his blond hair drew over his eyes again, as though to shield them from the winds.
"I'd already told Starfrost that I might be staying away from the main pack for a while, just for the fall and winter. It's sort of what we usually do anyway."
He had to grin at that, "Awh, and I'm gonna spend it with you?" He teased, his voice full of playfulness as he nuzzled her back lovingly before pulling away to gallop besides her, his eyes turned upright; not seeing her expression.

Whoa, what, 'lovingly'? Where'd that one come from? Anyway... Spitfire grinned, reaching up to throw a foreleg around his neck, despite the fact she was smaller than him and the trick hurt a bit, and purred into his ear with a tone that could be called seductive. "Oh, yes, you big ball of manly fluff. A little romantic get-away..." Insert the ultimate evil laugh here.

Ark yelped as his neck was tugged down to her level. Ball of Manly-Fluff? Hehe, Doesn't sound too bad! He put on his best smile and looked her in the eyes, "But of course!" He laughed, but then suddenly coming to a halt, his ears becoming erect and his paws coming to a halt. He crouched very low on the ground, his stance like that of a cat. He flicked his eyes to hr for a second, "Can you hear that?" he whispered, his voice extremely quiet; barely hear-able over the howling winds. {{Your choice if its good or bad. }}

Oh, and she was having fun... Spitfire paused, crouching down level to him, ears perked, eyes closing as she concentrated on the sound. After a moment, her beautiful gaze half-opened to look at him, and the look alone would stop many males in their tracks with the actually unintended beauty of it. "A small deer herd?" She whispered, voice as low, if now lower, than his, watching him with those carefully measured eyes, her casual grin gone, replaced with only the faintest quirk to show her always-playful mood. Her fluffy tail flicking out behind her in a mix of anticipation, hunger, and, again, play.

(( Ugh, I've had 'Does your Mother Know' by ABBA in my head all day!! >.< Random! ;D Maybe because Eoghan sang it on the Xfactor, Hurrhurr~ xD ))
Ark licked his lips; his green eyes brightening with excitement and thrill. Joining this pack was starting to become better and better. He nodded to her question, it was in fact a small herd of deer; apparently completely oblivious to their presence. Very slowly, not to make a sound, he crawled forward on the ground toward the smell of their soon-to-be-dinner.
Then the sight of the tiny deer herd came into view - his eyes however, were fixed on the ones that were scattered farthest away from the center of the herd. Ark turned his head back to Spitfire; his smile returned to his face. He motioned his head toward the herd; silently asking her which one to pick off.

(ABBA ish kewl. :3 And that is random. XDD)
Spitfire crept along behind him, letting him lead the short distance until they got to the herd. Then she crept a little closer to them than he was, perfectly silent, gaze raking the herd, eyes narrowed in concentration. After a moment, she stiffened, a silent signal to him, ears flicking towards one mother deer, limping around the edge of the clearing, trying to find good spots for food. Her flank was torn and flies surrounded it. She was suffering. It was their job to put her out of her misery.
She turned to Ark then, voice a barely audible whisper. "Ambush."

His ears perked up as the word 'ambush' reached them. He licked his lips; it had been so long since he had hunted with another, this might be a bit tricky. His eyes caught the damaged deer, his eyes glued to her flank. They were downwind so the scent of rotting flesh reached is nose as he cringed in disgust.
Carefully and silently sliding around the clearing and away from Spitfire; he was nearly around to the other side but his stomach growled when he was near the hurt deer. He inwardly cringed as the deer twirled around to look at him; he quickly growled and sprang from the bushes, his jaws snapping and snarling. The deer gave a shriek of terror and fled; the herd following suit.
Ark's emerald orb's eyed the direction they were going, it was too far left of Spitfire. Ark lunged at the end let out a bark and a snap at its flank, effectivly changing direction towards Spitfire.

Still, she waited until the very last moment before sprinting out into sight and leaping onto the injured doe. She managed to cling to its shoulders, fangs finding her throat, but she wouldn't last long, and the deer would get away if she didn't get some needed help. She was bound to be flung off when the deer leaped up and down. She shot a glance at Ark, hoping he'd come over here fast.

Ark caught her glance as she clung on to the deer. He quickened his pace and gave a leap; landing on the deer's back, his claws sinking in for a grip. His sudden weight made the deer plummet to the ground on her side, still kicking frantically. Ark leaned over and sank his teeth into the back of her neck, trying to keep it still enough for Spitfire to chock the air out of its lungs.

Spitfire twisted, fangs ripping into the front of the deer's throat while her hind claws dug into the prey's stomach. She luckily had herself twisted in a way that the kicking legs would be avoided. Barely, but still.

{{ Ugh, I'm so late replying to this, I could cry! D: I'm SO sorry, Dude! -huggeth- }} Ark tightened his fangs on the deer's neck. The smell of the rotting flesh of her flank overpowering his nostrils, Ark screwed his eyes shut against the odour. He then could smell blood. Ark could never stand the smell of blood much, he often inhaled air through his mouth while eating to avoid smelling it. Everyone was always puzzled by the strange habit; still he only told his sisters and Dante. Ark released the back of the deer's neck when he was sure the beast wouldn't buck Spitfire off or injure her. Infact, he was sure it was dead when he stepped away. The scent of blood hit him at once. It stank of salt and rust, it made his stomach twist into knots. Ark looked away and sucked air in through his teeth that glittered with blood. The smell was bareable, the taste was a bit more difficult but again, it was still bareable. "So, what's the plan now?" He asked, his emerald eyes staring after the fleeing deer herd that were there moments ago, just to look at something else.

((*huggles* ^^ I'm just glad you're back. XD I was scared this place was gonna die off!))
Spitfire rolled off and over to him, watching him curiously. The smell of blood never bothered her - in fact, it thrilled her. It was sort of like the equivilent to a more subtle drug for humans. She stretched out, shaking the extra blood from her fur before trotting over to sit beside him. "Now, we eat. Unless you're not hungry anymore?" She grinned, leaning over to lick some of the blood from his muzzle. Less of a compassionette gesture - to her at least - and more of a way to make her mind settle after the thrill of the hunt.

Ark cleared his throat, suddenly becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the situation. "Ugh, no, thats alright. I can't leave you to stuff your face by yourself, eh?" He smiled, revealing his gleaming jaws. He took a step back before she could lick any blood off his muzzle. He shouldn't really get involved with her, he barely knew the girl. She could be taken for all he knew.
"Ugh.." He shifted nervously by the hind leg, "shouldn't the Alpha get the first bite?" Ark questioned, his eyes glancing over the carcass and then to the direction where the Alpha had been. "I don't wanna make a bad first impression..." He murmured while pawing the ground lightly, his blonde hair falling into his eyes.

She blinked after him at first, confused, before rolling her eyes and coming over to the carcass. "It's fine, you little gentleman." She replied as she started in on the feast. "The Alpha i with his own group from the pack at the moment. They'll catch themselves something. He specifically gave me permission to feed you. And feed you, I will." She growled playfully, glancing up at him. "So eat, mister."
