Donovan snorted. "Hemitite. Puh. That's the biggest liar you'll ever meet." He'd been surprised when he'd heard that Hemitite had actually tried to save his grandpups. It had been one of the key points that convinced the entire pack that Mystic's father wasn't Starfrost. That and Dandre and Starblood's appearances had given everything away. Because all the wolves knew that Mystic wouldn't betray Romeo like that, and she would have mentioned something if she'd been attacked.

The twins shook their heads weakly. "We've got nowhere else to go. And we're scared of coming here because we heard your pack hates Blackshadows." Sundew 'explained', glancing shyly back at Donovan. "We'd never be welcome." Lily nodded in agreement, gently nuzzling her twin in 'comfort'.

Donovan couldn't help but feel a pang of pity for them. Oh come on, he does have a heart after all! They were related to Sunstorm, after all. If they were her and Starfrost's pups, he couldn't willingly turn them away. But then again, there was no garuntee that they were her pups. "You can stay here for the night. Away from the dens." He turned and began to go back to his den.

Lily blinked at him, ears back. "But why? It's just the same as in Blackshadow." She shrugged, a faintly amused grin touching her maw. "Although there, at least we get some company." It was 'supposed to be a joke'. But really, she liked the idea of insulting this male by comparing him to a Blackshadow. Or rather, saying he was giving her less than a Blackshadow did. Mwaha.

Donovan let out a growl and turned away. "Or I could just chase the both of you out and be done with it." These two were starting to pester him. It was late, and he didn't want the pack to be woken by them.

Lily smiled softly. "I'm trying to lighten you up. You seem very tense." She obverved, sliding past him and over to a corner of the camp to curl up. Sundew moved right over to her and curled up beside her. "Is something wrong?" She questioned, watching him with gentle eyes.

"Nothing a pup like you would understand." Donovan replied as he plopped back down. His troubles with Sunstorm were only getting worse. He was wondering when the day would come when one of them would finally just snap and go off on each other.

She chuckled, amused. "I told you, I'm older than I look. Besides, I deal with problems everyday that you can't begin to imagine." She rested her chin on her sister to watch him. "So, what's so wrong? i'm giving you a chance to rant at me."

"Your...mother. Grandmother. Whatever Sunstorm is to you." Donovan growled. Deep down, he loved her. He really did. But it was sort of hard to be a nice happy couple when he hated her pup and her pup's entire pack. And that he'd banished said pup and pack the first chance he'd gotten. "She's the most beautiful and cleverest she-wolf I've ever seen, but sometimes I just want to..." A low growl came from within his throat.

Lily blinked at him, startled by this abrupt threat of violence. "Want to what?" She further questioned, leaning closer a little. Really, she wanted to know what ran through a male's head before he attacked. She'd heard a lot from the Blackshadow males she and Sundew had seduced. But none really explained why. Here was her chance to find out.

Donovan let out a growl and set his head on his paws. "I suppose I wouldn't ever really hurt her. But sometimes she makes me angry enough." Donovan was raised as a Greenwood. Thus he was taught to avoid all violent conflict at all costs.

"But if you could really hurt her, what would you do?" She asked, tilting her head to one side. "If you didn't have the self-control to hold yourself back?"

Donovan shrugged. He'd never put much thought into how he would attack his own mate. (You were messed up in the head, if you did.) Plus he was a peaceful wolf. Fighting wasn't exactly his cup of tea. "I'm not sure. It's not something I put a good deal of thought into. No wolf should think of things like that. Just because Sunstorm irritated him...wait. No. Angered him. No...infuriated, there. That was the word. Just because Sunstorm infuriated him from time to time, he didn't want to physically hurt her in any way.

She shrugged. "You really love her, huh?" She asked, smiling. "It's kinda cute." She giggled, amused, but also just ather in awe. Seeing this thing in action. This thing she would ever have. The twins had accepted a while ago that their chances on finding love were incredibly slim.

"Just because you love someone, though, it doesn't mean you'll get a 'happy ending.'" Donovan replied, glancing up at the stars. Some days were good, most were bad. Sometimes love just wasn't enough. There would always be hurtles the two of them would have to jump just to be relatively happy. "Sometimes love just isn't enough."
