( It's a miracle!! I'm posting!!! :0 )
A petite wolf cautiously trotted through grass and around trees. She didn't seem to be in a good mood. she never really was. she paused and looked towards the sky. cloudless and blue. where were the clouds? she wished it were darker out. she never liked the sun much. Ripley mumbled and sat down in the shade of a low hanging tree. She was actually quite bored without her children with her. the little wolf flicked her tail. It was quiet, though...

"Hello!"
A small puppish figure dropped, upside-down, from the tree, gold eyes sparkling. The new character was obviously not a full wolf, what with his larger ears and scent of dog tainting his fur. But either way, he grinned down at the black female, tail wagging, appearing suspended in the air. Wierd.

She flinched, looking up at him. what was he so happy about? she lowered her ears and stared at him for a moment before replying "Good day." The tiny female scooted back a bit and dipped her head. didn't want anyone getting in her bubble. That would be a disaster. how was he floating there? How strange..

He hopped down, tail wagging now. "You'd better high-tail it. Frosty's on his way and he doesn't take too well with strangers." He contradicted his words, hwoever, by sitting down and starting to groom a paw.
(Muse is ded. >.<)

(nuuuuu that's not good. D: )
She flicked her ear, giving him an unamused look.she was comfy here in her little spot. "Oh? And I don't like puppies..." she growled, irritated just by looking at him. She glanced up at the sky and sighed. good. a few clouds were coming in. Maybe it would cool the heat from the sun a bit.

The pup let out a snort and disappeared among the branches of the tree. "Your funeral, lady!" He piped, before all was gone from him. He'd warned her, and if she wsn't smart enough to take the warning, she could suffer the consequences of being Frostfang's lunch.

Ripley scoffed at him. annoying pup. she stood up and stretched her legs. she always had something bigger than her trying to eat her. it was no fun, but she was used to it. she sat back down and glanced around. wonder what this Frostfang looked like..

She would soon find out. It wouldn't be hard to notice the abrupt chill that carried from one side, and how the edges of the leaves started to freeze, little icicles forming on branches. A cold gust of air rushed towards her, bringing with it the tangy, nose-biting smell of winter, even in the mid-day. And very slowly, a tall sketeton made it's way into the open. Since skeleton was the only way to describe him. Every single bone of the wolf's body was visible under the thin layer of skin and only slightly thicker layer of fur. His pelt was made up of icy shades; pale blues mixed with slate greys and whites. His long, saber-like canines stuck out from beneath his lips, reaching past his chin, sharp and threatening, and those sharp, deadly ice-blue eyes flicked to every little thing before finally settling firmly on Ripley. Long, tattered ears folded back against his bony skull, and a snarl split his lips. Sharp claws dug into ther ground. leaving scars in the dirt as he slowly paced towards her. "Who are you?" He growled, voice hoarse, and he barely spoke before erupting in a serious of harsh coughs. He looked about to die if his stubborn aggression wasn't holding him up.
(Muse is back. ^^)

The tiny she-wolf shivered. what a nice smell. she missed the crispness of winter. but that wasn't right. in this heat? no no nooo. she turn her head slightly, glimpsing his skeletal figure. never heard of a saber toothed zombie...she turned to face him fully. she eyed him cautiously before replying. "Ripley. I'm guessing you're Frostfang...?" the black wolf flinched at his sudden coughing. that was pleasant.
(my muse is small and pathetic and it suffers from art block and I can't writeness. :U)

(It should be fed...)
He nodded, moving forward to sniff her, brushing his freezing nose against her fur to further take in her scent. Skeletal body stiff, he slowly leaned back from her, wary. "That's right. What are you doing here?" He growled softly.

(but it runs away. D: )
She only flicked her tail as his nose met her fur. She watched him for a moment before glancing at the sky. "I was looking for a nice place to get away from the sun. I found this tree." She looked up the tree like she was expecting to see that pup again. The small wolf blinked her long, thick eyelashes and turned back to him. "but...there seems to be more clouds now. I guess I could leave.."

He looked her up and down slowly, flicking both long, tattered ears forward. But after a moment, his hostility faded and he sat down with a sigh. "You may stay if you wish." He allowed, which was a first for him. But he was too weak to enforce anything, and if he couldn't enforce anything, there was no point in even telling them to leave. Besides, he disliked being in storms like this without someone to steal warmth from. In times like this, the cold maintained in his body was overwhelming, even for him. And he was no longer a technically warm-blooded creature. He needed heat from outside to keep his body comfortable. And needless to say, it was easier to steal it from a female than a male - they were much more willing to... share.
Frosty lay down, curled against the tree, and slowly looked back up at her. "Did you have any othr purpose in coming here?"

She looked behind her. her kids had no idea where she was so...this might be a good place to hide for a while. She turned back to him. "I think I will stay, then." even if she liked to wander in storms by herself... she lay down shortly after he did. staying a few feet away from him, of course. "No. No other reasons.."

He surveyed her carefully, curios, before inching closer to her. "I don't suppose you could come closer...?" He dared to question, ears perked forward and tail swishing edgily. He didn't like the feel the storm was bringing - it made his long fur stand on end. The chill was already starting to set into his skin, and he let out a sudden shiver. Damn...

Ripley pulled her ears back."Why? getting lonely all by yourself? or are you just cold..?" she blinked at him, waiting for his answer. she flicked her tail around her warm body. she was producing quite a bit of heat, actually. She was always so warm and toasty. that's why she didn't like the sun. too hot.
