Romeo nodded, eyes warm. "In my old pack, many wolves died because they tried to take down a full-grown buck on their own. Most of them were young wolves, too." He gave all his pups a loving nuzzle. "So you guys had better be careful when you first start hunting. I don't want to lose you."
(Sorry it took so long!!)

((Perfectly fine. ^^))
"We promise, Papa." his daughters chorused, smiling up at him with wagging tails. Magi grinned at his father, his tail wagging a mile an hour.
"Did one of you ever go after a buck on your own?" Magic asked eagerly.
"On my first hunt, I ran out too early." Mystic said, wincing at the memory. "I got hurt, but it was nothing compared to the fates of others. Just remember to control all of your emotions. Your anger, sorrow, joy, and even your confidence in yourself. There will be a time in each of your lives where you'll feel on top of the world. But don't act on that."
She lovingly licked the top of Magic's head and smiled at her daughters. "Like your father said...we don't want to lose you."

Romeo glanced up at hhis mate in curiousity at the recall, but didn't ask. Instead, he decided to throw in his own bit. "I was only a few moons old when I went on my first hunt. In my pack, they forced us to learn early or..." He hesitated over the pause only a moment before thinking better on telling them too much. "Or we'd get in a lot of trouble. But a lot of the group I was in died because they were too young. But we managed to bring down our foe, at least. But we payed a hefty price, and I was nearly among the ones that lost their lives." He winked, hoping he'd made the 'story' exciting enough for them.

The pups were indeed staring in wonder, amazed by the story.
"Wow! You and Mama were great!" Juliet cheered. She grinned at them. She sat down. Sadly, the pups were now in the mood for stories. They sat down in front of their parents, tails wagging in unison. ((D'awww!))
"Papa, how did you meet Mama?" Forest asked.
"Yeah! How'd you fallin love with her?" Juleit asked eagerly.
"Did ya save her from a bear?" Magic asked, grinning.

Romeo grinned, eyes dancing in amusement at the pups gathered around. He looked up at his mate and gave a playful wink before crouching down, ears drawn back and hackles rising in suspense. "Worse! There I was, wondering my territory, when I saw her - a pretty little female standing out in the meadow. And all around her were huge, monstrous creatures, tall enough that their heads brushed the tops of the tallest tree, with teeth as long as the branches of an oak, and claws sharper than porcupine quills. Now, she probably could've dealt with those things on her own..." He granted, grinning up at Myst. "But I wanted to show her how strong I was. So I battled off the huge creatures. But I couldn't have done it without your mother. I went in there to impress her but came out being impressed. She was as fast as lightning, and as deadly, and soon, those monsters were running with tails between their legs." He shot a wink up at her, eyes bright. "She saved my life, and maybe I helped save hers. But the real problems didn't start until we looked into each others' eyes..." He left a dreamy air at the end, for story-time effect, and because when he thought about it, Mystic did have the most beautiful eyes...

The pups sat, mesmerized by the story. Their eyes were wide, but they were also smiling.
Mystic smiled at her mate, licking his maw affectionately. She then looked at the pups. "Your father was quite the show off...but he was very skilled in battle. He certainly got my attention. Plus he was very handsome, you know...and un deniably sweet."
"When you looked into each other's eyes, did you fall in love?" Forest asked, smiling.
Mystic smiled and looked at Romeo. "Hm...yes. I should say so."

Romeo took the moment to gently nuzzle into her snout and throat, ears drawn back in pleasure. "I should too. Love at first sight..." He let out a happy, dreamy little sigh, obviously contented with life as it was at the moment. Perfect, in his eyes.
(Sorry it's so short! D:)

Mystic smiled and shut her eyes, returning the nuzzle. She felt, at the moment, her life was perfect as well. She had three beautiful, healthy pups and a loving mate. At the moment, there was enough prey and enough water. Mystic was content. She reopened her eyes and chuckled. Her son had looked away, disgusted by the distinct display of affection between his parents. Meanwhile their two daughters were giggling quietly to one another.
"But yes...we loved each other from when we first met." Mystic said, smiling again. She thought back to when she was just a little thing, and when she first really met Romeo. The memory made her smile a bit more.
((Its ok! XD But me thinks they're a bit too happy..hmm..))
