"Don't think about that." Dartsnow told him firmly. "They'll all be fine." The she-wolf didn't want to think about losing her pups. That would be horrible...

Malikite smiled warmly at her, nuzzling her. "You're right. Nothing will happen." He reaffirmed, nodding firmly. "After all, they'll be yours." He joked, trying to lighten the mood.

Dartsnow was inwardly worried. She'd been a part of a litter of three. Her siblings were both still-born. What if it ran in the family? Dartsnow shoved that thought aside and nuzzled against Malikite. "Precisely."

He could relate. Five of his siblings had been stillborns as will. The chances were horrible. But they'd take them anyway. It was part of being in love. He kept her soft fur close, eyes closed, relaxed. This was so nice. He wouldn't want to lose that. Stillborn pups, he could handle. Dead Dartsnow? No.

Don't think about it and it won't happen. That seemed to be the rule of thumb with the she-wolves. Dart snuggled up against Malikite once more, then pulled away suddenly. Her eyes were shining with happiness. "Aren't you going to show me around, Malikite? I am new to the pack, after all...I need to know the territory." Plus they could get a chance to be a lone. Yayz.

Oooo... alone. He grinned, tail wagging as he hopped to his paws and started off, wagging his tail in invitation to her. He couldn't wait for the chance to go places with her. And... be alone.

Dartsnow rose to her paws eagerly and hurried after him, yipping happily to him. She was interested in seeing the new territory. It was dark and shaded and...strangely sweet. Though she was really looking forward to 'alone time.'
"Young love." Magic chuckled, watching them go.
"You say that like you're old." Dandre blinked at him. Magic still looked like a yearling, despite having a pup of his own. Dandre's older brother simply chuckled and pawed at him a bit.

Romeo trotted up to them, amused. "He's no oldie. I am, but he's not." He teased, aiming to bump Magic's shoulder with his snout. He turned back to his other son, tail wagging. "You'll get it when you're older. And find a good, nice female." He winked, playfully.

"I wanna get it now!" Dandre complained, running to his father and resting his front paws on his leg. He was too young to understand what the appeal to females was. Starblood joined his brother, staring expectantly up at their father.
"You'll understand when you're bigger." Magic said, chuckling as he looked at his little brothers.

Romeo grinned, sitting down. "I can explain as much as I can. It's like... whenever you see the female you love... you feel all soft and... loved. Warm, peaceful, like nothing could go wrong." He frowned, finding his own description failing. He turned to Magic, grinning. "Why don't you explain? You've felt it."

"You've felt it too! I'm here, aren't I?" Magic teased his father. He looked at the pups and tried to think a way to describe what love was like. "Hm...it's like this. When you see a femme you love you sort of...can't breathe. She just takes your breath away. And you'll do anything to protect her."
"I love Mama, but I can breathe when she's around." Dandre said, blinking.
"That's a different kind of love." Magic responded.
"There are different kinds? This is confusing!" Starblood cried. Dandre nodded in agreement.

Romeo laughed. "There's three kinds. Friend love, family love, and love love." He grinned, leaning back. "Like... you love your family like family, and when you make a friend, it's like loving someone like family. You're close to them, and couldn't imagine losing them. But when you fall in love, you not only couldn't imagine losing them, you couldn't live without them. And uh... you tend to want to do things with them that... you wouldn't feel... inclined to do with family..." He glanced at Magic rather awkwardly before turning back to his sons. "But that part's gonna be saved for a much later date. You don't need to know that part now."

"I still dun get it. Do you?" Dandre looked at his brother for his opinion.
"Nope."
"Wanna pay tag?"
"Uh-huh! You're it!" Starblood ran off, yipping to his brother. Dandre blinked then followed after, barking at Starblood as he went. As the pups weaved in and out of the dens, Magic chuckled.
"That settles that then." Magic said.

Romeo shook his head, glancing at his older son. "Oh, but I know one pup whose learned this lesson, well, eh, Magic?" He grinned, an amused grin splitting his maw. "I saw your mischevious little son running off with Dartsnow." He teased, eyes dancing.

"He's a big boy." Magic replied, pawing at his father and grinning. "Malikite doesn't need dear old dad to tell him what to do anymore." Romeo's eldest son sat down beside his father, chuckling lightly. "Now Juliet just needs to find a mate, and everyone in this pack will be a couple! Aside from those two, of course." He watched as Dandre tapped Starblood's flank with his paw, then dart off. "And they'd rather play tag and look at she-wolves. At least for the moment."
